This collection includes approximately 75 stories, several collections of poems, and two novels by Pli︠u︡shkov; there are also about 25 essays by him on literary topics, and a brief autobiography. Photographs are chiefly of Pli︠u︡shkov and his wife. In addition, there is a photocopy of a document concerning the medical treatment given to Maksim Gorḱiĭ in 1887 by Pli︠u︡shkov's father after Gorḱiĭ attempted suicide.

Correspondence, manuscripts, documents and printed materials of Tikhobrazov. The correspondence dates from 1963-1974 and includes letters from Vera Mikhailovna Borel', daughter of General Mikhail Vasil'evich Alekseev. There is one manuscript by Anna Nikolaevna Alekseeva, the General's widow, while the rest are by Tikhobrazov. These include two lengthy versions of his autobiography and a number of shorter essays. The topics Tikhobrazov treats include his own military education, the history of the Imperial family, Rasputin, the 1917 Revolution and the Civil War. With regard to the Civil War, Tikhobrazov describes his experiences under General Briggs. The documents include Civil War military orders, an 1859 diploma awarded to B. I. Ianushevich and Arkadii Pavlovich Levitskii's service record, dated 1915. The printed materials include clippings, illustrations and two copies of "Miroir de l'Histoire" (1964 and 1967) in which articles by Tikhobrazov appeared. There is a photograph album entitled "Russkaia armiia na Balkanakh" with many photos of White units in exile in the 1920's.

The papers consist of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, and printed materials. Correspondence includes 3 letters from Mikhaĭl Karpovich, and letters from Khmelńit︠s︡kai︠a︡'s son Sergeĭ, a writer in the Soviet Union. Among the manuscripts is Khmelńit︠s︡kai︠a︡'s autobiography, which discusses her childhood in Odessa and her education; and her translation of the letters of William Frey, a Russian immigrant in Kansas in the 1870s.

Galina Nikolaevna von Meck Papers, 1861-1974

A major part of the collection is von Meck's autobiography (660 p.), covering up to the latter part of World War II, when she left Russia for the West. This autobiography primarily discusses her life in the Soviet Union in the 1920s and 1930s; her father was executed and she herself was imprisoned in Soviet concentration camps. There are five brief essays discussing railroads in Russia and the USSR, and a photograph of her grandmother, Anna Merkling. Also icluded is von Meck's translation of 681 letters written by P.I. Tchaikovsky to his family during the period March 1861 to September 1893.

Correspondence, manuscripts, documents and printed materials of Tomilin. There are several letters from Georgiĭ D. Grebenshchikov. The manuscripts--all of which are by Tomilin--include essays, stories and autobiographical writings chiefly devoted to his career as a teacher in Russian and Soviet institutions as well as in DP camps following his emigration to Germany in 1945. The collection also includes his birth certificate and such printed materials as poems by Tomilin, an essay by his wife and a copy of "Luch" (Salzburg, 1954).

The papers consist of manuscripts and printed materials. The manuscripts include an autobiographical essay, Pronin's memoirs about Generals Kornilov and Brusilov, an essay about an attempt to murder Trot︠s︡kiĭ and articles on the Russian emigration in Yugoslavia and Brazil. The printed materials include copies of the journal "Vera i vernost,́" Pronin's pamphlet "Krymskai︠a︡ voĭna -- Oborona Sevastopoli︠a︡" and "Vo imi︠a︡ pravdy -- O belom dvizhenii i ego vozhdi︠a︡kh," to which Pronin and others contributed.
