Collection includes correspondence and manuscripts. There is one letter each from Anton Kartashev and Bernard Pares. The manuscripts consist of articles, lectures, and notes by Petrunkevich on a variety of topics, and a brief memoir on the period of the Revolution and the Civil War.

Papers of Zi︠a︡blov. Included is a copy of a letter from Moscow in 1919 by Zi︠a︡blov to his daughter, manuscripts, documents, photographs, and other miscellaneous items. Manuscripts include Zi︠a︡blov's travel diary of a trip from Moscow to the Black Sea and the Crimea in 1886, his memoirs, and lectures on engineering. The memoirs discuss his childhood and education (he graduated from Moskovskoe Tekhnicheskoe Uchilishche (Moscow Technical Institute)) in 1887; his work as a teacher and engineer; the 1905 revolution in Kolomna, where he was director of a machine works; and his continued engineering career through World War I and the early Soviet period. There are family photographs and photographs of unidentified groups, including Zi︠a︡blov, standing around locomotives. Also included is a pamphlet by Zi︠a︡blov"K voprosu o nemet︠s︡kom zasilí: Illi︠u︡strat︠s︡ii iz parovozostroĭtelńoĭ praktiki" (Petrograd, 1919).

Correspondence, manuscripts and printed materials of Boris Petrovich Vysheslavtsev. There are letters from Nikolai Berdiaev, Carl Jung, Anton Kartashev, Konstantin Korovin, Jacques Maritain, Aleksei Remizov, Grigol Robakidze, Theodore Strawinsky, and Ariadna Tyrkova-Williams. The manuscripts include essays and lectures on various topics including the Orthodox church, Russian literature and culture, philosophy, and the hereafter. There are numerous diaries, primarily from the 1930's and 1940's. The printed materials include clippings, off-prints, and various journals and books.

The collection includes more than 100 letters to Benningsen from P.P. Ignatév, the last Minister of Imperial Russia, written in 1920-1921; and correspondence between Benningsen and his wife, Ekaterina Platonovna Benningsen, and Ksenii︠a︡ V. Denikina. Several manuscripts by E. P. Benningsen are also included: a long memoir which treats the history of the Benningsen family, his own government and Red Cross service, the 1917 Revolution and the Civil War, and emigration in France and Brazil. There are copies of his lectures and articles on historical topics; a lengthy essay on the character of modern politics called "Ce que la vie m'a enseigne"̀; and a number of reviews of books dealing with Russia. There are two sets of subject files: one containing materials relating to the activities of the "Soi︠u︡z Pazheĭ" (an emigre organization of former members of the Corps of Pages); the other, materials relating to the efforts by former officers of the Kavalergardskiĭ Regiment to recover a trove of silver objects belonging to them that they had deposited in the State Treasury at the beginning of World War I and which finally ended up in Belgrade. A brief biographical note on her husband by Ekaterina P. Benningsen and a few photographs complete the collection.

Papers of E.I. Zami︠a︡tin. The papers consist of correspondence, manuscripts, notes, and clippings. There are 9 letters by Konstantin Fedin, 3 by Boris Grigorév, and 1 or 2 each by Henri Barbusse, Cecil B. DeMille, Andrʹe Maurois, Alekseĭ Remizov, and Zami︠a︡tin himself. The manuscripts are chiefly brief or fragmentary works, including film scenarios, summaries of plays, essays, lectures, notes, and fragments. Longer works include the "Afrikanskiĭ gost́" lectures on prose given in 1920, and the posthumously published novel "Bich bozhiĭ" and "Lit︠s︡a". Also included are clippings on Zami︠a︡tin, chiefly from Soviet, Czech, French and Russian emigre periodicals, also transcripts of selected correspondence and manuscripts in the collection.

The papers include correspondence, manuscripts, notes, and printed materials. Among the correspondents are Sergeĭ Bulgakov, Nikolaĭ Losskiĭ, and Marina T︠S︡vetaeva, and there are one or two letters each from Nina Berberova, Georgiĭ Florovskiĭ, and Semen Frank. There is substantial family correspondence, primarily letters from Fedotov to his wife and daughter. Manuscripts include articles and lectures by Fedotov, and a draft of his translation of the Book of Psalms into Russian; there is also a poem by Marina T︠S︡vetaeva, "M.V." (1932). Printed material consists of off-prints of many of Fedotov's articles. There are subject files on Nikolaĭ Berdi︠a︡ev and on the Bogoslovskiĭ Institute conflict in the late 1930s.

The papers include manuscripts on Turgenev, Fet, Blok, Bolshevism, WWI, and enlightened absolutism, copies of correspondence between Turgenev and Fet, and of letters from I︠A︡.N. Polonskiĭ, Nicholas II, P. Annenkov, and others. Also included are a printed article about a lecture on Polonskiĭ and Fet given by Nikolśkiĭ to the Pushkin Circle of Petrograd University, and a brochure of L'Institute d'Etudes Slaves (Paris).

Iustinia Sushcheva's handwritten notebooks contain texts of lectures on history, literature, art, science and grammar delivered in the years 1868-1872. The lectures are recorded in both Russian and French, and, with the exception of four hand-written notebooks, they are in what appears to be hectograph format.

Correspondence, manuscripts, subject files, a photograph, and printed materials of Taube. Most of the collection concerns his life in emigration. There are many letters from Nikolaĭ Roerich from the 1930's, concerning the Roerich Museum and the artist's political efforts. Manuscripts by Taube include memoirs of his years in the Imperial Government (1905-1917), and of his life in emigration, and also drafts of lectures which he gave at European institutions in the 1920's and 1930's. Subject files concern such topics as his service as a legal consultant for the Imperial Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the Roerich Museum; the history of the Taube family; emigre monarchism; and educational institutions with which he was affiliated, especially the Acadʹemie de Droit Internationale de la Haye. There is also a large group of files on Russian history, which he prepared for a book he planned to write. The photograph is of Tsar Alexander III and his wife in Denmark.
