The 18 page typescript by Terskii, "Bat'ko Makhno, provides a brief history of Nestor Makhno's forces in the Civil War. It is chiefly based on secondary sources, but occasional autobiographical notes are interspersed through the manuscript. Terskiĭ fought in Wrangel's White Army in the Crimea in 1920, and, in the late 1920's, was a transport engineer in the southeastern Ukraine, the area in which Makhno's forces were strongest. Appended to the manuscript is a copy of an appeal from General Shatilov to Makhno dated 18 June 1920.

The collection consists of correspondence and manuscripts. The correspondence, both incoming and outgoing (copies), spans the years 1921-1938, and includes both personal and official letters as well as such ancillary materials as financial accounts, reports, clippings, circulars, etc. It deals with the activities of the White army at the end of the Civil War (Crimea, Gallipoli, Bulgaria) and with the policies and programs of the Russkiĭ Obshche-Voinskiĭ Soiuz (ROVS) in the emigration. The manuscripts are in the form of memoirs, both General Shatilov's and his wife's; there is also a memoir by an unidentified author. There are two copies of General Shatilov's 2,000 page manuscript. In it he recounts his childhood and military education, his participation in the Russo-Japanese War, and his role in World War I, the Civil War, and subsequently in the emigration in Europe, through World War II.

The collection is largely composed of Igor' Krivoshein's materials related to Freemasonry, including his manuscripts, personal documents, and printed materials. Also included are photographs and biographical materials, as well as materials relating more broadly to Russian Freemasonry.

The collection contains RNK correspondence, documents, photographs, subject files, organizational records and printed materials. There are letters from Boris Bakhmeteff, Pavel and Petr Dolgorukov, Zinaida Gippius, Aleksandr Kutepov, Dmitrii Merezhovskii, Bernard Pares, Ariadna Tyrkova-Williams, George Vernadsky, and Petr Vrangel. There is a short essay by Aleksandra Tolstaia about her father. The manuscripts relate to political, historical and sociological issues. Most of the subject files relate to emigre organizations other than the RNK, while those of the RNK are classified into files of financial records, bulletins, minutes and lists of names and addresses. Among the printed materials are brochures and pamphlets, clippings, newspapers, and books.
