The Near East College Association formed in 1927 to combine financial and administrative work in a joint office for efficiency in management and to help raise endowment funds for institutions from Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Bulgaria, and Iraq. The collection contains administrative records, correspondence, publications, and records related to partner institutions.

This collection contains records related to the American Committee for Armenian and Syrian Relief, established in 1915 to respond to the Armenian Genocide, and incorporated through an Act of Congress and renamed Near East Relief in 1919.

These records contain information related to the formation of Robert College (Bebek, Turkey). They document the founders' attempts to define the mission of a Christian college within the Ottoman Empire, their efforts to obtain permission to purchase land, and their efforts to gain necessary permits to build upon the site.
