Posters and scrolls produced as visual aids to education and proselytization by Protestant missionaries working in China. Most scrolls include Chinese text and use images specifically designed for the Chinese mission field.
The collection consists of correspondence and materials relating to Ginling College including addresses, bulletins, reports, newsletters and conferences, as well as maps of Nanjing and glass lantern slides of missionary work.
This collection contains biographical information on over 500 Chinese Christians and a few non-Christians, assembled by Paul Goodman Hayes while working as a missionary in Anhui province under the auspices of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
