Correspondence, manuscripts, documents, notes, printed material, and photographs of Leonard Altman concerning his work as editor of LISTEN and board member of Carnegie Hall as well as his other professional and personal interests.

Letters of Freeman, addressed to various personalities at Harper Brothers and the Century Magazine, relating chiefly to the publication in serial and book form of her various novels and short stories. Included are letters to Richard Watson Gilder, Robert Underwood Johnson, Colonel George B. Harvey, and Henry Mills Alden. Also, photocopies of the typescript of Brent L. Kendrick's Ph.D. thesis (University of South Carolina, 1981) THE INFANT SPHINX: COLLECTED LETTERS OF MARY E. WILKINS FREEMAN. 2 vols. (Published version in the General Library: PS1713/.A44/1985).

The collection consiste of correspondence, memoranda, reports, bulletins, clippings, photographs, awards, and printed material. The files, arranged by genre and topic and reflect her philanthropic and legislative work in the areas of health, specifically cancer, heart disease, and mental health. Her civic and legislative work is covered in detail, as well as her private interests and activities.

These papers consist of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, and printed materials. Most of the correspondence concerns Florinsky's publications and editorial work. Among the correspondents are Boris Bakhmeteff, Michael Karpovich, Aleksandr Meyendorff, Bernard Pares, James T. Shotwell, and Dmitriĭ Svi︠a︡topolk-Mirskiĭ: there are one or two items each from John Dewey, Herbert Hoover, Edwin Seligman, and Harry S. Truman. Manuscripts by Florinsky include his "Russia: A Short History" and some minor articles and book reviews. Other manuscripts include a poem by Bernard Pares and a study by Sergeĭ Prokopovich of the Soviet five-year plan of 1946-50; there is also a photograph of Meyendorff. Documents concern Florinsky's career at Columbia and also include book contracts. Printed materials consist chiefly of reviews of his works and reviews he wrote of others' books.

Correspondence, manuscripts, diaries, documents, subject files and printed materials of Vorobév. Following the 1917 Revolution, Vorobév emigrated to Constantinople, Belgrade, and eventually to Nice. The correspondence dates from 1920 to 1950. The manuscripts primarily concern ethnography, agriculture and horticulture in the Black Sea region, and approximately half the manuscripts are by Vorobév himself. In addition, there are several diaries (dating from the 1940's) in which Vorobév recorded his professional activities. The documents include a number of contracts and receipts. The subject files cover a variety of topics including antisemitism, flora in the Kuban River region, notes on the "dance of death" and the Obshchestvo okhranenii︠a︡ russkikh kult́urnykh t︠s︡ennosteĭ (the Society for the Preservation of Russian Cultural Antiquity) in Paris, of which Vorobév was secretary. Among the printed materials are articles, clippings and maps.

The editorial and production files of Pantheon Books from 1944 through 1968. The correspondence from authors, agents, and publishers is written to Kurt and Helen Wolff, Jacques Schiffrin, André Schiffrin, and the editors of the firm. The files document the publication of works by A. Alvarez, Georges Bernanos, Hermann Broch, Jacob Burckhardt, Albert Camus, William Demby, Eugene Ionesco, Karl Jaspers, Winifred Bryher, Jacques Maritain, Isamu Noguchi, José Ortega y Gasset, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Sir Herbert Read, Ben Shahn, and others.
