The collection chiefly consists of Goldenweiser's American legal case files. There are also case files from his German years, and substantial materials on his research into the condition of Russian refugees and refugee problems in general in the 1930s. Much of the correspondence from the late 1930s and early 1940s concerns Jews in Germany and occupied Europe. Correspondents in the collection include Mark Aldanov, Abraham Cahan, Antal Dorati, Georgiĭ Florovskiĭ, Tatʹi︠a︡na Frank, Vladimir and Vera Nabokov, and Mikhail Karpovich; there are 1 or 2 items each from Dwight D. Eisenhower, Eleanor Roosevelt, Herbert Lehman, and Nikolaĭ Losskiĭ. Letters, manuscripts, and documents by Vera Nabokova contain considerable information on her and her husband's lives in Germany and in the United States. Many of the American case files concern (as does much of the Nabokova material) individual claims for reparations from Germany after World War II.

The correspondence includes letters from Michael Florinsky, Mikhail Karpovich, Bernard Pares, Geroid Robinson and George Vernadsky as well as one each from Lidii︠a︡ Lopukhova, Lewis Mumford and George Orwell. There is abundant correspondence relating to the Cunard Whitestar Line, notably from Anthony Cunard. The manuscripts include drafts of several of Fedotoff-White's books as well as copious notes and book reviews. There are subject files relating to his curriculum vitae, financial affairs, and his university studies. Among the printed materials are books (including several of his own), clippings, pamphlets, and brochures.

Correspondence includes 3 letters from Mikhaĭl Karpovich, and letters from Khmelńit︠s︡kai︠a︡'s son Sergeĭ, a writer in the Soviet Union. Among the manuscripts is Khmelńit︠s︡kai︠a︡'s autobiography, which discusses her childhood in Odessa and her education; and her translation of the letters of William Frey, a Russian immigrant in Kansas in the 1870s.

Papers of Wulbert. Most of the materials concern the activities of the Chicago-based Russian-American Educational Association in 1918. Also included is a manuscript by Wulbert entitled"The Hebrew Institute Affair" concerning a conflict within the Chicago Jewish community in 1915-16.

Papers include correspondence, manuscripts, and printed materials. Correspondence mostly concerns the Obʺedinenie in the 1950s. One of the manuscripts by Nikolaev is entitled"Ukrainsko-polśkie otnoshenii︠a︡ vo vremi︠a︡ sovet︠s︡ko-polśkoĭ voĭny 1920-1921 gg." Nikolaev's memoirs largely concern his activities as legal consultant to the Orthodox Church in Poland. Printed materials deal mostly with the Obʺedinenie.

Among the correspondents are Boris Bakhmeteff, Michael Karpovich, Aleksandr Meyendorff, Bernard Pares, James T. Shotwell, and Dmitriĭ Svi︠a︡topolk-Mirskiĭ: there are one or two items each from John Dewey, Herbert Hoover, Edwin Seligman, and Harry S. Truman. Manuscripts by Florinsky include his "Russia: A Short History" and some minor articles and book reviews. Other manuscripts include a poem by Bernard Pares and a study by Sergeĭ Prokopovich of the Soviet five-year plan of 1946-50; there is also a photograph of Meyendorff. Documents concern Florinsky's career at Columbia and also include book contracts. Printed materials consist chiefly of reviews of his works and reviews he wrote of others' books.

Cataloged correspondents include Mark Aldanov, Mikhail Karpovich, George Fedotov, and other.

Also included are protocols of meetings and reports, photographs, membership and subscription lists, and printed materials. The cataloged materials include manuscripts sent by such authors as Alekseĭ Remizov and Boris Zaĭt︠s︡ev for "Den ́Russkogo Rebenka" (Day of the Russian Child) in the 1930s, as well as correspondence from Nikolaĭ Vakar, Claire Boothe Luce, Aleksandra Tolstai︠a︡, and others. The bulk of the collection consists of correspondence with and about beneficiaries, and financial records from the period 1926-57.

The papers include office files and individual case files. The office files provide information on such topics as contacts with professional societies (such as AAASS and AATSEEL), grants and finances, particular professions, special projects, publicity, and conferences. There are also individual case files on the people who came to the Program.

ROVS North America (ROVS-N.A.) Records consist of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, organizational records, subject files, and printed materials. There are also papers of the Paris-based Sovet Rossiiskogo Zarubezhnogo Voinstva (Council of the Russian Military Abroad) and other emigre military and political organizations active in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and South America. The cataloged correspondence includes letters by Evgenii Miller, Nikolai Tsurikov, Aleksandr Kutepov and other emigre figures and by Richard Nixon, Lyndon Johnson, Barry Goldwater and other prominent American politicians. Arranged correspondence series consist of general office files, Paris-New York files, correspondence of Aleksei von Lampe and Vladimir Vitkovskii and topical correspondence files. Among the manuscripts are short articles and reminiscences by various people. There are photographs of Evgenii Miller, Nicholas II and of emigre organizational gatherings during the 1950s and 1960s. The organizational records include circulars, bulletins, orders, memoranda, reports, publications and financial records for ROVS and the Sovet Rossiiskogo Zarubezhnogo Voinstva. Subject files concern such topics as the Elisavetgrad Military Academy, the Union of the First Kuban Campaign, the Gallipoli societies, the Ingermanlandskii Regiment and the Russian Anti-Communist Center in New York. The printed materials include a book by Boris Kuznetsov and publications and circulars from other emigre organizations.
