Primarily a collection of overseas editions (small formats, light-weight paper, no advertisements) of popular magazines for the Armed Forces distrubuted by the Special Services Division, U.S. Army, and by the Bureau of Navy personnel. Among the titles represented are: Esquire; New Yorker; Newsweek; Time; Pic; Readers Digest; Down Beat; and an array of comic books. In addition, there are guides to foreign countries, War Department education manuals in the G. I. Roundtable Series, books on the organization and administration of an army library, training manuals for army hospital librarians, and a copy of the R.B. [Reference and Recreational Book] LIBRARY CATALOG: AN INDEX TO THE BOOKS INCLUDED IN THE 1945 RECREATIONAL LIBRARIES FOR AMERICAN SOLDIERS OVERSEAS (New York: H. W. Wilson, 1944). The collection is comprised of correspondence, manuscripts, teaching materials, conference materials, subject files, and printed items from William S. Vickrey's career as an economist. It contains published and unpublished papers illustrating his thoughts on various aspects of economic theory and their practical application. Topics discussed in these manuscripts involve macroeconomics, marginal cost pricing, microeconomics, political economy and welfare, public finance, social choice, taxation, transportation, urban economics, and related matters. The collection also has records from his tenure at Columbia University, including correspondence with his academic colleagues and participation in professional activities.

The manuscripts primarily concern calendar reform, including Perovskiĭ's calculations and ideas on how to proceed with this reform. The printed materials consist of eight copies of "T︠S︡erkovnyĭ Vestnik" seven with articles by Perovskiĭ, and one with his obituary.

The collection consists of correspondence, manuscripts, and an enormous number of notecards (that were collected over a twenty-year period for a proposed "Slovar' russkikh khudozhnikov") and several dozen notebooks containing entries to which the cards refer. Among the correspondents is Eugène Fabergé, whose letters contain information about the Fabergé dynasty of jewelers. Sakharov's manuscripts include essays on Ivan Bilibin, M. V. Rudaltsov, Mariia Bashkirtseva, Nikolai Globa and V. E. Borisov-Musatov. The cards containing information on artists are arranged alphabetically by artist and contain references to specific notebook entries. There are also bibliographic cards containing citations of articles on art in Russian and other languages. These are arranged by author. The notebooks are largely devoted to a particular artist or genre; others are designated by color and number, letter, number or not titled at all. There are also two sets of large notebooks which seem to belong to another series. There are a few photographs of artists (notably a 1939 photograph of Globa) and photographic reproductions of works by Bakst and Lukin among others. The collection contains approximately 11 exhibition catalogues dating from 1915 to 1940 and primarily relating to the exhibitions of Russian emigre artists in Paris. There are also 4 issues of "Illiustrirovannaia Rossiia" and some clippings dealing with Russian emigre artists.

Most of the collection consists of manuscripts by Lebedev and others on Russian and East European literary and political topics from about 1914 to the 1930s. There are three microfilm reels of materials on Gavrilo Princip and the asassination of Archduke Ferdinand in Sarajevo, 1914. Correspondents include Hamilton Fish Armstrong and George F. Kennan. There are several drafts of articles by Mark Slonim and materials on the Socialist Revolutionaries in the emigration from about 1930. Lebedev's personal documents cover from his army service (the Russo-Japanese War), through the 1917 Revolution and Civil War, and his later life in Europe and the United States. There are photographs from interwar Albania and Bulgaria, including ones of Aleksandŭr Stamboliski. Printed materials include a copy of Lebedev's book "Novym putem" and issues of "Voli︠a︡ Rossii.".

Papers consist of correspondence, manuscripts, and printed materials. Correspondents include Nadezhda Teffi and Pierre Fresnay. There are manuscripts of stories, novels, plays, scenarios, and memoirs by Oks. Oks' memoirs touch on his legal career in Russia and meetings with Sarah Bernhardt and Fedor Shali︠a︡pin; the memoirs of his wife, Lidii︠a︡ Borshch, concern the period of the Revolution and Civil War in Russia and meetings with Maksim Gorḱiĭ in Italy in the 1920s. Among the printed materials are the first issue of the emigre literary journal "Chisla," theatrical newspapers from Petrograd in 1914-16, and issues of French periodicals with Oks' memoirs about his legal career in Russia, including contacts with Lenin and Trotsky.

The collection contains correspondence, manuscripts by Marchenko and others, documents, photographs, printed materials, notebooks, notes, and subject files. Correspondence consists of Marchenko's personal correspondence and the correspondence of the Kronstadt Group, an anti-communist emigre organization. Manuscripts consist mostly of articles by Marchenko on the economy of the Soviet Union, many of them published. Printed materials include mimeographed materials, pamphlets, clippings, maps, and copies of several anti-Communist periodicals. Marchenko's notes and notebooks cover topics on economics, the Soviet Union and the Russian language. Subject files include information on the Institute for the Study of the U.S.S.R. (Munich) and the Kronstadt Group.

Collection consists of manuscripts and printed materials. Manuscripts include two manuscripts by Fedorovskiĭ, entitled "Balturskiĭ otri︠a︡d ́sudov v 1917 g.", and "U zemnykh." Printed materials include one book, clippings from various newspapers, and two issues of "Chasovoĭ" from 1931-32, all concerning the military historian V. A. Potto.

Pavlov's manuscript memoirs, in two notebooks, discuss such topics as his family, childhood, and the evacuation from the Crimea at the end of the Civil War. Also included are issues of a mimeographed emigre veterans' periodical"Svi︠a︡z ́po ʹt︠s︡epiʹ markovt︠s︡ev" (1966-73), which was edited by Pavlov.
