Correspondence from turn-of-the-century mathematicians written to White. The letters combine personal and business matters and reveal the warm friendship which existed between the scholars. Of interest are the efforts of these men in getting important mathematical journals published.

This collection consists of memos collected by George Berkwitt during his tenure as chief editor of Industrial Distribution Magazine. The memos address marketing, editorial, advertisting, and other topics relevant to the leadership of the trade magazine.

Editorial and business correspondence, with some manuscripts, of the POLITICAL SCIENCE QUARTERLY, including letters from James T. Adams, Charles A. Beard, Paul H. Douglas, Theodore Roosevelt, and Sidney Webb. Also, nine letters from Woodrow Wilson dealing with his articles and reviews as well as the writing of THE STATE. The correspondence is addressed to the editors of the QUARTERLY, including Munroe Smith, William A. Dunning, Parker Thomas Moon, John A. Krout, and Dumas Malone.

The Papers include the manuscript research materials and correspondence for each of his books except his biography of Theodore Dreiser. Among the correspondents are William Benton, Bruce Catton, Carey McWilliams, Mrs. Fremont Older (Cora Miranda Baggerly Older), and Thornton Wilder.
