These were the materials that I.I. Rabi's widow, Helen Newmark Rabi, did not donate to the Library of Congress but kept as her own mementos.

The Manuscripts consist of handwritten and typed manuscripts for several of Moore's publications, including his Digest of International Law (1906) and his International Adjudications (1929-1933). The Published materials consist of the House of Commons Parliamentary Papers, government reports from British colonial offices, U.S. government and judicial decisions, reprints of Moore's academic articles and speeches. Each unit is accompanied by a detailed accession slip; boxes had no original numbering, so for surveying purposes, a number was penciled onto the accession slip and recorded as the original unit number. There is little to no organization of the material, which is mainly loose office paper (largely correspondence and manuscripts) housed in non-archival envelopes and folders, or loose, and bound academic journals and pamphlets. Most of the material covers the topics of Eastern European/Russian Studies, and there is much academic and administrative material as well. There is a significant amount of material in German, Russian, Polish; some Hebrew, French, and Spanish.

Lambert's (1920-1998) collected investigative materials such as correspondence, news clippings, notes, notebooks, photographs and transcripts related to his award winning reporting for The Oregonian, Portland, and for Life magazine. In 1957, Lambert and his college Wallace Turner received the Pulitzer Prize for their reporting, which uncovered widespread vice and corruption within the municipal Portland city government that involved labor union officials of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers of America, Western Conference. In 1970, Lambert accepted the George Polk Award for his Life magazine reporting, which revealed that Supreme Court Justice Abe Fortas accepted and later returned a suspect $20,000 fee, spurring Fortas' resignation.
