Photographs and architectural drawings of Lienau's work, much of it in New York City and in New Jersey. Projects include the Gardner A. Sage Library for the General Theological Seminary in New Brunswick, N.J.; the Francis Cottenet Villa in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.; a house for Legrand Lockwood in South Norwalk, Conn., later owned by Mark Twain and now known as the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion; and the Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences in Savannah, Ga. Also included are drawings of unidentified or unexecuted buildings; student drawings, and early European commissions; lecture notes, 1835-1837, from the Stadtische Gewerbeschule, Berlin; a partial list of of Lienau's work, 1848-1886; specifications; acounts; printed material; photographs, postcards, and prints showing various European buildings; clippings; certificates; typescripts of articles; and correspondence.

This collection includes nine letters of Ralph Waldo Emerson as well as letters of Louis Agassiz, Amos Bronson Alcott, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr., Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, James Russell Lowell, John Lothrop Motley, Charles Sumner, and John Greenleaf Whittier. In addition, there are two incomplete manuscripts by Emerson and one document from the Liverpool Custom-house signed by Nathaniel Hawthorne as Consul for the United States. The collection also includes the corrected typescript, index, and page and galley proofs for Thomas Franklin Currier, A BIBLIOGRAPHY OF OLIVER WENDELL HOLMES (New York, 1953) which was edited by Professor Tilton. Also, some early correspondence and photographs of the Tilton family and friends. There are letters from the actors Annie Louise Ames, Richard J. Dillon, and Hans L. Meery to Tilton's grandfather, Bernard Paul Verne, as well as photographs, tintypes, and daguerreotypes of the Verne family and friends.

Correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, subject file, and printed materials of Evgenii︠a︡ I. Vagner and her husband, I︠U︡liĭ N. Vagner. While most of the correspondence is personal, some of it relates to I︠U︡liĭ Vagner's scientific research. There is a manuscript by an unknown person about Ivan D. Sytin, and a number of notebooks with entries by Evgenii︠a︡ Vagner. The documents, which include passports, travel documents, service records, and diplomas of both Evgenii︠a︡ Vagner and her husband, mainly concern their lives in emigration in Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, and, at the end of World War II, in Germany. There are three folders of photographs, a subject file concerning Evgenii︠a︡ Vagner's post cards and copies of two editions of a book by I︠U︡liĭ Vagner"Nachalńyĭ kurs prirodovedenii︠a︡" Kiev, 1908, and Belgrade, 1924.

The papers include letters of introduction, documents, photographs, picture postcards, and a wallet. There are cataloged photographs of Ekaterina Breshko-Breshkovskai︠a︡, Ili︠́a︡ Erenburg, and Elena V. Nabokova, and Sergeĭ Kni︠a︡zḱov. Letters to Fletcher, including four letters from Richard Hughes, and twenty-five from Dorothy Leigh Sayers, mostly about the Dante editions which she bought from the Fletchers; seven letters from Samuel Beckett; and letters from the Sitwell brothers primarily concerning items purchased from the Fletchers: Osbert, 142 letters and postcards concerning books purchased, and Sacheverell, 168 letters concerning music covers, engraved writing paper, costume and ballet drawings, etc. purchased as well as books. Also, twenty-one letters and post cards from Eric Gill, who designed and printed a wedding announcement for Mr. Fletcher; and eighteen letters from Will Ransom, dealing with American and English publishers and bookdealers.
