There are letters from Russian emigre writers such as Mark Aldanov, Ekaterina Kuskova, Mikhail Osorgin, and Alekseĭ Remizov, and by western authors, including Henri Barbusse and Alexander Roda Roda. Manuscripts include memoirs, stories, and notebooks of Damanskai︠a︡. Printed materials consist of clippings of her articles, and one book by her entitled "Kartochnye domiki sovetskogo stroitelśtva" (1920).

Papers of E.I. Zami︠a︡tin. The papers consist of correspondence, manuscripts, notes, and clippings. There are 9 letters by Konstantin Fedin, 3 by Boris Grigorév, and 1 or 2 each by Henri Barbusse, Cecil B. DeMille, Andrʹe Maurois, Alekseĭ Remizov, and Zami︠a︡tin himself. The manuscripts are chiefly brief or fragmentary works, including film scenarios, summaries of plays, essays, lectures, notes, and fragments. Longer works include the "Afrikanskiĭ gost́" lectures on prose given in 1920, and the posthumously published novel "Bich bozhiĭ" and "Lit︠s︡a". Also included are clippings on Zami︠a︡tin, chiefly from Soviet, Czech, French and Russian emigre periodicals, also transcripts of selected correspondence and manuscripts in the collection.

Correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, and printed materials of Surguchev. The papers almost exclusively concern Surguchev's life in emigration; he lived in France from the 1920s onward. Correspondents include Ivan Bunin, Nikolaĭ Evreĭnov, Aleksandr Kuprin, and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko. There are manuscripts of plays, stories, and film scenarios by Surguchev in Russian, French, and English. Documents include literary contracts, and one contract signed by Sergeĭ Lifar ́concerning a film scenario by Surguchev and Ivan Lukash. There are photographs of Surguchev and of scenes from his plays, and a subject file on the Russian Chamber Theater (Kamernyĭ Teatr) in Prague, 1922-23. Among the printed materials are many clippings of pieces by Surguchev, and his play "Igra" and pamphlet "Bolśheviki v Stavropole."

The collection consists of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, a photograph, and printed material, primarily from the period 1941-1957. Included are letters from Ivan Bunin, Marc Chagall, Mikhail Karpovich, Vasiliĭ Maklakov, W. Somerset Maugham, Vladimir Nabokov, Ili︠́a︡ Repin, Edmund Wilson, Boris Zaĭt︠s︡ev and many others. Manuscripts of his works include "Istoki""Nachalo kont︠s︡a""Zhivi, kak khochesh"́, and "The Escape" (English translation of "Begstvo"), such shorter tales as "Noch ́v terminale""Povest ́o smerti", and "Ulḿskai︠a︡ noch"́, as well as numerous articles, book reviews and essays. There are financial records for "Novyĭ Zhurnal", which Aldanov helped found, and the clippings are mainly articles about Aldanov. There is one late photograph of Aldanov.

The manuscripts include drafts of several of his novels, including the two mentioned above, and of his non-fiction works, such as "Paragvaĭskai︠a︡ nadezhda" and "Belogvardeĭt︠s︡y na Balkanakh." Printed materials include clippings and copies of several of his books. Also in the collection are manuscripts of poems and stories, and copies of two books by his father, Dmitriĭ V. Karachevskiĭ-Karateev.

There are 6 letters by Khodasevich to Karpovich, and 2 to other people. Manuscripts and documents by Khodasevich include poetry, notes, essays, autobiographical information, listings of his publications, earnings, daily work, and references to him in print. Printed materials consist of clippings and an annotated copy of his "Poeticheskoe khozi︠a︡istvo Pushkina" (1924). There are also 2 items in the collection by Raisa Blokh, and 1 by Georgiĭ Ivanov.

Khodasevich, widely regarded as one of the greatest Russian poets of the 20th century, lived the last part of his life in France; he died there in early 1939. There are 6 letters by Khodasevich to Karpovich, and 2 to other people. Manuscripts and documents by Khodasevich include poetry, notes, essays, autobiographical information, listings of his publications, earnings, daily work, and references to him in print. Printed materials consist of clippings and an annotated copy of his "Poeticheskoe khozi︠a︡istvo Pushkin" (1924). There are also 2 items in the collection by Raisa Blokh, and 1 by Georgiĭ Ivanov.

Collection includes Kantor's diaries for 1921-32 and 1936-60; manuscripts of articles, poems, and a book-length work"Civilisation et assimilation"; and manuscripts of translations of the works of La Bruyeʹre and La Rochefoucauld. Also included are clippings and offprints of articles by Kantor (particularly from "Russkai︠a︡ Mysl"́, Paris, in the 1950s and 1960s); and a published volume of Kantor's poetry"Stikhi" (Paris, 1968).
