The largest groups of cataloged letters are by Mark Aldanov (105 items), Ivan Bunin (161), Archimandrite Kiprian (104), Alekseĭ Remizov (48), and Nadezhda Teffi (101). There are also items by Boris Bugaev (Andreĭ Belyĭ), Vi︠a︡cheslav Ivanov, Vladislav Khodasevich, Sergeĭ Lifaŕ and Boris Pasternak. Zaĭt︠s︡ev's manuscripts in the collection include some of his major works, such as "Puteshestvie Gleba" "Dom v Passi" "Zhizn ́Turgeneva" and "Zhukovskiĭ". In addition, the collection has a book and a pamphlet, both inscribed by Zaĭt︠s︡ev.

Cataloged materials include two poems by Igorʹ Severi︠a︡nin, Elena Miller, and letters from Nikolaĭ K. Roerich to Father Georgiĭ Spasskiĭ. Correspondence contains mostly letters to Elena Miller, and also includes letters to Archimandrite Afanasiĭ and others. There is also a letter dated 1919 from abbot (igumen) Serafim of the Belogorskiĭ monastery to Grand Prince Nikolaĭ Nikolaevich, describing the conditions and mood of the peasants in the Perm ́area. Manuscripts are by various persons on religious and political topics. Printed materials consist primarily of monarchist and religious mimeographed materials, fliers and pamphlets.

Correspondence, mostly from the Soi︠u︡z nat︠s︡ionalńogo osvobozhdenii︠a︡ (Union for National Liberation) and the Sovet obʺedinennoĭ russkoĭ molodezhi (Council of United Russian Youth), concerns the establishment of a united monarchist movement in the 1920s. Manuscripts and memoranda describe the state of the monarchist movement in the emigration. Printed materials consist of monarchist pamphlets and circulars, and also printed directives dated 1919 from the commander of the Prishibskai︠a︡ and Graderfelśkai︠a︡ volosts.
Nikolai Mikhailovich Mel'nikov Papers, 1918-1965
4000 itemsThe collection includes correspondence, manuscripts by Melńikov and others, documents, photographs, subject files and printed materials. There is a cataloged letter from George Kennan. Correspondence consists primarily of letters from various members of the Don Cossacks in exile, including General A.P. Bogaevskiĭ, Melńikov, and General V.V. Naumenko. Manuscripts include Melńikov's typescript memoirs "Pochemu 'belye' na i︠u︡ge ne pobedili krasnykh?"(230 p.). Reports, by members of the Don government in exile, are on the economy of Southeast Russia. Photographs and documents concern the Don Cossacks. Subject files primarily cover the Don Cossacks during the Civil War in exile. They include several signed letters and memos by General Denikin dated 1920. The financial records of the Don government in exile cover the years 1921-1926. The bulk of the printed materials consists of issues No. 51-272 (1930-1939) of the journal "Volńoe kazachestvo," published in Prague and later in Paris. Among the printed materials there is also a pamphlet dated 1919 and entitled "Vremennoe polozhenie o grazhdanskom upravlenii v mestnosti︠a︡kh, nakhodi︠a︡schikhsi︠a︡ pod verkhovnym upravleniem glavnokomandui︠u︡schego vooruzhennymi silami na i︠u︡ge Rossii." The majority of the material in the collection concerns the Don Cossacks in emigration.

There are letters from Boris Bakhmeteff, Pavel and Petr Dolgorukov, Zinaida Gippius, Aleksandr Kutepov, Dmitrii Merezhovskii, Bernard Pares, Ariadna Tyrkova-Williams, George Vernadsky, and Petr Vrangel. There is a short essay by Aleksandra Tolstaia about her father. The manuscripts relate to political, historical and sociological issues. Most of the subject files relate to emigre organizations other than the RNK, while those of the RNK are classified into files of financial records, bulletins, minutes and lists of names and addresses. Among the printed materials are brochures and pamphlets, clippings, newspapers, and books.
