This subseries consists of correspondence kept by André Schiffrin. The sub-subseries are divided into distinct sets of files – alphabetical, chronological, domestic, and foreign – which follows the original arrangement of the records.

Subseries III.1.1: Alphabetical, 1990-2004

This correspondence set contains files for both individuals and organizations in one alphabetical set of files. The set appears to be incomplete, however, inclusive only of A-R. A few files for "T" were found elsewhere, outside of the main set of alphabetical files.

There are also two files (in French) related toAndré Gide, Jacques Schiffrin: Correspondance 1922-1950, a book related to Schiffrin's father that was published by Gallimard in 2005. These files contain correspondence, clippings, as well as photocopies of the original Gide-Schiffrin correspondence and a few related photographs.
