Biographical / Historical

William T. R. and Annette Baker Fox were a husband and wife team of prominent international relations scholars and Columbia University professors. William T. R. Fox was the Bryce Professor Emeritus of the History of International Relations and the founding director of the Institute of War and Peace Studies. He coined the term "superpower" in the international relations context. Annette Baker Fox was director of the Institute of War and Peace Studies' Canadian Studies Program. She was a noted scholar of small states and middle powers.
