Description

Scope and Content

Sixty-two manuscript sermons written by Kneeland and preached in various Connecticut towns. Kneeland often delivered the same sermon several times, carefully marking the date and place of preaching on the manuscript.

Biographical Note

Kneeland was the son-in-law of William Samuel Johnson, the third president of King's College. Kneeland received an Honorary Master of Arts Degree from King's College in 1769.
