In the course of his research, James McGrath Morris discovered the unpublished memoir of Walter Pulitzer, the son of Albert and nephew of Joseph Pulitzer, still held by family members. Within it is contained the memoirs, also unpublished, that Albert completed in the spring of 1909, shortly before committing suicide. Morris was able to acquire photocopies for his use and to add to the Pulitzer Papers in RBML.
