This collection consists of the work conducted by the Fact Finding Commission appointed to investigate the disturbances at Columbia in April and May 1968. The materials include the audio-tapes, unorganized and uncorrected transcripts, and the final transcripts of the testimony from the hearings held from May 7 to July 25, 1968. There are also the general exhibits used in the hearings and a collection of printed materials (newspapers and magazines) covering the events of 1968.

The collection consists of speeches, reports, publications, research notes, and correspondence. The bulk of the collection relates to Wu's involvement in the American Physical Society as well as her research activities. The correspondence is chiefly professional, relating to C. S. Wu's physics research, professional commitments, appointments, meetings, conferences, and publications. Correspondence also includes letters from individuals around the world praising Wu for her accomplishments, asking advice, arranging speaking engagements, discussing administrative matters, and trading research notes, as well as information on publications and other topics. In addition, the collection contains information on Wu's involvement in the development of an affirmative action program at Columbia University in the 1970's.

Sam Devons also left behind files of Advisory Board of Faculty House and University Seminars, which are included in this collection. Records date between 1970s and 2020s, but the bulk of the material dates from the 1990s to the 2010s.

Five original etchings depicting buildings on the campus of Columbia University. Each etching is signed and dated by the artist "Ernest D. Roth / 1938". Each print is in ecellent condition within an original mat and protected by original tissue guards. Four of the original six printed lables are present. The prints and labels have been preserved in the original buckram portfolio titled "Columbia Etchings / By Ernest D. Roth, N.A. / Columbia University Press." All are in excellent condition. The drawings are on extended loan to the Columbia University Alumni Center.

This collection contains the recorded minutes from the different faculty meetings: from the representative University Council to the individual schools (Columbia College, Engineering, Journalism, Law, etc.). Faculty meeting minutes include information on admissions, the academic calendar, curricular changes, faculty appointments and leaves, student petitions, fellowships, grants, prizes, and graduation requirements among other topics. Unfortunately, this collection is not complete. Additional minutes can be found in the record collections of the different faculties. For example, there is complete set of the minutes of the Faculty of Columbia College in the Columbia College records. Similarly, the minutes of the Seth Low Junior College and the minutes for the New York School of Social Work can be found in their respective collections.

Most of the correspondence dates between 1890 and 1912 and addresses requests for matriculation and fellowships, while other areas of consideration include departmental issues, personnel issues, and lists of fellowship and degree recipients. Correspondence with University administrators concerns faculty appointments, enrollment and registration concerns, and class scheduling. Outgoing correspondence of the Dean and Secretary addresses fellowship and scholarship options in attempts to fund specific students, as well as attempts to secure teaching positions for graduating students.

This collection consists of photographic prints (8x 10 and 11x14) and negatives (35mm and 2 ¼" square) taken by professional photographer Gabriel Amadeus Cooney for Columbia University. Many of the images were ultimately used in a brochure titled Broadway Local published in 1991 and in a series of brochures for the Campaign for Columbia produced between1996 and 1999. Some prints and negatives are in color, but most are in black and white. Many of these negatives and prints correspond directly to contact sheets and prints found in Series I of the Office of Alumni and Development Photograph Collection (UA#0208).

The letters to his wife from Chungking were numbered seriatim and are arranged in chronological order per the numbering by Cross on the envelopes, most of which are present. The chronological order refers to the dates written; the letters were often posted or received well after composition. One or two are missing, were withdrawn, or contain a numbering error.

This collection consists of the correspondence and administrative records of the University Extension's Home Study Division, which offered not-for-credit courses by mail. The records include communication with faculty members, students, and University administration (Buildings and Grounds, Office of the President, Office of the Secretary, Office of the Registrar, etc.). They document the Home Study division's outreach or promotional efforts (advertising, partnerships with other institutions), operational records (course fees, registrations, mailing services, office supplies), policy matters (academic credit, prison students, high school classes and the New York State Regents exams) and many requests for information from potential students, nationwide and from abroad. In addition to the short-lived Home Study program, there are records of other adult education experiments and initiatives at the University Extension such as courses by radio, extramural courses (held off-campus, across the East Coast), and Guidance Study (a replacement to Home Study). These are the administrative records held in the Office of the Director, mostly from the end of the Home Study experiment and organized alphabetically. The records do not include much about the origins of the Home Study at Columbia. They are more closely related to the evolution of the program and the continued interest in correspondence education after the program was discontinued. There is also an extensive collection of materials documenting other home study and adult education efforts around the country, from correspondence with individual programs to materials from national associations.

This collection consists of four bound volumes: a handwritten preface, two full manuscripts on the summer cruises of 1886 and 1887, and a transcription of the manuscript of the 1886 cruise. The volumes relate the events of the Columbia College Canoe Club's 6-week summer cruises on Lake George, Lake Champlain, Richelieu River, St. Lawrence River, and Thousand Islands in summer 1886. In summer 1887, the Canoe Club had a permanent camp at Little Harbor Island, Lake George.
